2026 Quarter Designs

As part of the nation’s America 250th birthday celebration, the U.S. Mint is striking five (5) new & unique 1776 ~ 2026 semiquincentennial quarters. The five (5) designs recognize vital moments in American history that shaped the country to what we know it as today. The winning designs commemorate the U.S. Constitution, the Gettysburg Address, the Declaration of Independence, the Revolutionary War, and the Mayflower Compact (pictured here in that order).

This release contradicts everything we know about the U.S. twenty-five cent (25C) coin which maintained a ‘same obverse, same reverse’ design style, per series, up until the creation of the well-known States & Territories Quarters where we kept a consistent obverse design but incorporated a wide variety of reverse designs. The same was done for the following series’, America the Beautiful Quarters & American Women Quarters, with exception for the 2021 Washington Crossing the Delaware Quarter. This is the first time that the mint has struck multiple unique designs for a one-year-only historic release.
