To commemorate our nation’s 250th birthday, the newly released semiquincentennial coin designs include a new look for the ten-cent (10C) dime. Formerly, the Roosevelt dime held it’s place as one of the longest-standing coin designs without change- enter -the 2026 Emerging Liberty dime. The mint mark is placed on the obverse which depicts a more modern, generally beautiful interpretation of ‘Lady Liberty’ alongside inscriptions that read “LIBERTY”, “IN GOD WE TRUST”, and “1776 ~ 2026”.

The reverse design features an eagle with wings spread as the centerpiece, slowing itself to a perched position and captivating the beholder. Below the well-known inscriptions of “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “ONE DIME”, reads “LIBERTY OVER TYRANNY”. This phrase is one felt by many Americans the current times and will likely contribute to the elevated collectability of this already historic release.
